If you (a) read the instructions and (b) watch the video on the Bak website.
Installation took me a couple of hours only because I took my time to understand the directions and paid attention to torque specs and alignment.
The finished result looks great! And, here’s the really important part: it did not leak even during and after the vehicle wash I did, in which I used a hose with a spray nozzle to first wet down the surfaces I was washing and then again to rinse off the soap suds.
This is impressive since the last genuine Ford folding tonneau cover I bought leaked profusely. Nice product.

This worked great for my 2022 ford maverick.
I was leary as far as which bed cover would fit but this turned out great!
Unfortunately, the mounting clips to the bed rails were loose so I used the rubber protector the kit came with to put under the clip to fully secure it to the bed. Make sure to measure the distance on each side to line it up evenly.
Slight problem with the right side rail closing so I have to play with it to fully lock it down. Looks nice and saves gas mileage too

When you see how well the components are packaged, it is evident that the engineering philosophy is first-rate.
Any retractable cover has the small disadvantage of bed space being taken up by the canister. I was initially concerned about this because there is little information or diagrams to rely on. Upon installation, the canister sets high enough to allow longer items to extend underneath and works well for my needs.
The utility and convenience of the Retrax PRO XR are a no-brainer for me due to the bed rail tracks being a must-have.
The product is well designed and executed, very pleased with the result of my 2022 Ford Maverick.

- Easy to fold, and pretty easy to install (1000% better than the old soft cover out there on the market)

A little Leary because of a bad review but I decided to risk it. I’m glad I did. Even though it is kind of a pain to install, it’s not too bad.
The buckle thing is worthless to me. It’s too close to the cab and I can’t fit my fingers in to unbuckle it. It is not completely waterproof even after I made modifications and used some silicone sealant. But it is very water resistant and I have a very little problem with water even though going through very heavy rain storms.
The greatest thing about it, in my opinion, is that I get 3-5 mpg better while driving.
City compared to Highway. I didn’t realize an open bed with a closed tailgate was such a drag on fuel mileage. Wish I had known a lot sooner.
That fuel mileage savings could have really added up over five years.

I ordered the Bakflip Revolver x2 and was not impressed with the quality of the cover.
Installation was not too bad but did not like the fact that you must use tools if you need to remove the cover to access an entire bed.
After having it on for a few days, the cover was still not laying flat and was hard to latch. I decided to return it and try the TruXedo Sentry and I was impressed immediately upon opening the box.
They definitely have taken steps to ensure the cover remains in excellent condition during shipping. The Bakflip packaging was minimal with little protection of its rails and cover. The Sentry was easy to install like the Bakflip, but I didn’t have issues with the tailgate as I did with the Bakflip due to side rails extending beyond the bed and over the tailgate.
In my case, the tailgate sits about 1/16 inch higher than the bed rail. The side rails on the Sentry do not extend beyond the bed. I have not experienced driving in rain yet with the Sentry, but there weren’t any gaps in the weatherstripping once I closed up the cover and didn’t see any light coming in from outside.
I was able to see light when the Bakflip was closed and I did go through a light rain shower and there was water in the bed of the truck around the corners. I’ll update this review later once I’ve been through a few showers.
Overall I am very impressed with Sentry.
